Synopsis

The chip-off process is an advanced digital data extraction technique which involves physically removing the flash memory chip from a device using specialist equipment and then acquiring the raw binary data. The extracted binary data can then be read using Digital Forensic software.

Chip-Off forensics is a 4 day tailored course teaching the delegate how to identify flash memory chips, dismantle devices, de-solder memory chips, forensically image the chip's contents and rebuild the file system.
